Customer Reviews for Blade mCX2 RTF
BUY ONE!!!
A friend bought me one for Christmas and I have been having a blast with this thing! I am 54 years old and have always had a dream of flying a toy helicopter around my living room. This thing is easy to fly, robust, and totally engrossing.
I ended up ordering the tandem as well and have flown it all over the house. As a commercial pilot with 26,000+ hours in "real" airplanes, flying this thing in my living room adds another dimension to my aviation experience. Make no mistake: This is no toy. It is a remotely piloted air vehicle that is every bit as much of an aircraft as a 737 is. Truly amazing.
Great beginner helicopter, virtually indestructable
Durable little Heli!.The other night I was flying in a light breeze (fun to do during the day- adds a challenge). The helicopter got carried over trees out of my line of sight. I flew the helicopter higher in the air so I could see it, but it was too far gone.
I could see tiny flashing LEDs, but couldn't reorient which way to safely land since it was night-time. I killed the throttle when it was about 200+' in the air. It was found in a concrete drainage basin, LEDs still flashing. The whole helicopter was submerged in water. During the walk of shame home, the LEDs stopped flashing. I figured it was dead- to use later as a parts heli.
I washed it in the sink with soap and water thinking that it was done for and let it dry out for the past 2 days. I just installed the battery. It sync'd up with the transmitter and flies as well as it did out of the box. The only thing that broke was the landing gear. Easily fixed with some glue...
Great Fun
This micro heli is ideal for beginners. It's so stable in a hover that you can set the trasmitter down, grab your camera and take a picture, the pick the transmitter up and fly around the room. I learned to fly in my crowed living room. This heli so light that when it falls, it is virtually indestructable. I would highly recommend this heli to anyone wondering if they can fly. You bet you can!
